The Pearl Clutching Tone Police and The End of Civility...

So the usual suspects are clutching their pearls and wincing as their panties gets all knotted because newly elected Rep. Rashida Tlaib told party goers that the Dems were going to “impeach the motherfucker!”... <sarcasm> Oh the horror... think about the children! What happened to civility? </sarcasm> … What happened to “When they go low, we go high?” and all the other lip service that goes along with the “Tone Police(TM)”

Don't misunderstand my sentiment here... I adore Mrs. Obama who first said “When they go low, we go high”, but that was a statement made in a more normal time and place.  That was before November 6th, 2016... That was before The Mango Menace was sworn in on January 20th, 2017... We are well beyond normal here...
We have a criminal, conman and grifter in the White House.  We have a creature impersonating a human being as POTUS who has installed every crooked rat bastard he could find in Governmental positions to plunder and pillage this country.  We have a amoral, credibly accused rapist as Commander in Chief who has destroyed our reputation on the world stage, wrecked decades long relationships around the world.  We have a cockroach in an Edgar suit acting like a 3rd world dictator who is wrecking everything good about this country.  He calls Nazi's “very fine people”, encourages his mindless minions to violence, insults our former allies, withdraws from international agreements that his 4th grade educated mind can't grasp and runs around this country holding his pseudo-Nazi rally's like a spray tanned Hitler.  We are WAY WAY WAY beyond normal here and it's about time we as Democrats took off the kid gloves and started fighting dirty!!!

As the great Alice Cooper said “No more Mister Nice Guy”... We've tried to go high for 40 years as the GOP got crazier and more vile... We tried to be the “Adults” in the room as these evil bastards slowly and methodically raped and pillaged the Government with cycle after cycle of failed tax breaks for Corporate Interests and the Billionaire and Millionaires of this country... With the resulting economic crashes that any competent economist has warned the about over and over again, yet they keep insisting that just one more round of tax cuts will make us all rich...

Some thoughts on the Blue Wave... It's just the first Battle...

In a little over a month from today voters in the U.S. will be casting their votes in the most important election in the last 50 years, if not in the history of this country. As progressives we are going to be deciding the course of our political destiny. Do we want a country that works for all Americans regardless of their wealth or a country that works for just the rich?

Since the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980 this country has moved politically to cater to the whims and wishes of Businesses, The Rich and The Well Connected. Taxes have been cut to the bone for those who can donate (Bribe) their Congressional representatives to slash their taxes, deregulate their industries, and subsidize their already obscenely profitable Corporations. They've hacked and slashed away the rules that protect clean air, water and land. They've taken over governmental institutions that are meant to protect the workers from harsh and often dangerous working conditions, stop predatory lenders, stop polluters, prosecute criminals who crashed the economy, and skirt the laws meant to protect us all from their greed.

It's taken them nearly 50 years to get us to the point that they managed to elect the most unqualified candidate in the history of America. A man with no morals, no self awareness and no intellectual curiosity. Someone who spent his whole life stealing, grifting and cheating his way to the top.

The Blue Wave is coming, but this will not be a one and done electoral wave. The rot and disease of the GOP can not be washed out in just one election cycle. This will be have to be a sustained and unwavering battle to stamp out the influence and rot of the GOP. We must not think of this one election as winning the war, this is just one battle. It's a big battle, make no mistake, but the GOP is as vile and vicious as the undead in any zombie movie. They will attempt to rise to power again and we must keep them down. We must make sure to bury them politically each and every time they try to crawl from their electoral graves we kick them into.

In November vote... and vote in the next election, and the next and the next. We must send a resounding and clear message that their corruption and greed will not be tolerated any longer in America. We must make the message clear that we will create a Government that works for ALL Americans, not just the rich and influential. We must make it clear by voting that they work FOR US, not them.

More Smoke and Mirrors from the Right-Wing...Stop Playing Their Game...

Yesterday Disney/ABC fired James Gunn the director of Guardians of The Galaxy 1 & 2, who was also preparing for Guardians of the Galaxy 3, for tweets made nearly a decade ago. Tweets he apologized for 6 years ago.

Sadly it's no surprise...

No I don't mean that it's not a surprise that Disney/ABC would fire him. Disney/ABC is in damage control mode for the faux outrage from the right-wing over a progressives comments made nearly a decade ago that he's addressed in the past. I'm disappointed in Disney/ABC for the firing, but not surprised.

What's a surprise is that as progressives 
we keep allowing this to happen.

The Right-Wing faux outrage machine gets it's panties in a twist about some perceived slight/mistake or some other reason to start throwing feces like gibbons in a zoo enclosure. Does anyone really think it's a coincidence that the day before this came out and Disney/ABC kneejerked their way through damage control and fired one of their best directors that Maria Butina was arrested and held on charges related to her spy activity, money laundering, payoffs and dark money donations to the NRA, using sex to influence Republicans and a host of other charges related to the ongoing investigation of #AgentOrange and the Russian hacking of the 2016 election in favor of said shit-gibbon.

This is just another attempt by “The People Who Rub Shit in their Hair” [(TM) Driftglass] at distracting the media to change the conversation from tRump being an agent of the Russian Federation, Crook, Money Laundering scumbag, failed human being, perpetrator of human rights violations, fascist, racist, misogynist, serial adulterer, accused rapist and all around low life sack of horse excrement.

The Media needs to stop playing into their game... stay focused and don't let the right-wing try and distract you from #Traitor45, #EVILGOP, #RussiaGate and the EPIC scumbaggery of the Republican party. Don't let them pretend like Trump isn't the end result of 40+ years of the politics of “The Other”. tRump is the end result of their divisive, fascist, racist, misogynist agenda...

Trump isn't an aberration in the Republican party, it's a feature baked into the soul of the Republican party. They constantly show the world what they are and it's well past time we listen and believe them.

Now that the Left is fighting back, now that the left has said, “ENOUGH OF YOUR BULLSHIT!”. Now that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Steven Miller and a few other of the Cabal of Fascists, Fascist enablers, Fascist liars and Fascist Mouthpieces are being ostracized and shunned for the evil and hate they spew. Now that a few of the Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic, Evangelical scumbags are getting a taste of their own medicine, now they whine and moan about being civil.

Where were the calls from the right for civility when Heather Heyer was killed in Charlottesville and 19 others were injured when James Alex Fields drove his car into the crowd of peaceful protesters?

Where were the calls after 21 year old White Supremacist Dylan Roof walked into the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina and killed 9 people with an semi-automatic weapon including South Carolina state senator Clementa C. Pinckney?

Where were the calls for civility when a group of African American people in Oakland, California had the cops called on them for having a barbecue?

Now that the left is fighting back and exposing their lies and hate the right wants civility... Now that people are standing up and facing down the violence and hate coming from the Right they get all sorts of feefees hurt...

After 8 years of the RWNJ's posting memes of President Obama and The First Lady as Apes , Screaming in Faux outrage about the Tan Suit President Obama wore, The outrage about the Sleeveless dress First Lady Michelle Obama wore, The Faux lynchings that the RWNJ's never said a peep about, The unprecedented level of disrespect President Obama faced for 8 years. Now they whine and moan about protesters marching against their Fascist, Racist, Homophobic, Misogynistic agenda.

Now I know it’s been a while since I posted anything here, but for the most part given the current political climate and the fact that the Republican Party has not just run off the rails, but has lost their minds since Mittens lost the election I didn’t feel like posting a weekly obscenity filled rehash of the most recent GOP brain fart.

This blog was my way of voicing my opinion of politics in American, but today I’m going to post something a bit more personal.

I’ve been buying parts for a new computer for a while now because my old machine was 6 years old and had finally whimpered No Mas… No Mas, thrown in the towel and died.

Some might have heard that in August I was able to purchase the last few parts for my new machine.  One of the things I got was a brand new Samsung 24” wide screen computer monitor. Now because I was having the computer built from parts it has taken some time to get the parts to the place building it because I no longer have a car.  I’ve had to rely on friends to get the parts to the shop for me since no one has a car I can borrow since I’m in an electric wheelchair.  Once the monitor arrived I tucked the monitor away because I don’t have the machine built.

Random thoughts on a late Saturday night...

Sorry I haven't posted in a week or two, but things have been busy... sort of... I've been doing a lot of posting and image work with GIMP... now if anyone tells you GIMP is just as good as Photoshop please smack them in the head for me... twice...

 I've also been working on securing parts for my new computer. My old Alienware machine died last year after 6 good years of service. Unfortunately last October it decided it didn't want to stay cool anymore and kept shutting down. Cleaning the heat sinks, recharging the liquid cooling system and various sacrifices to the computing Gods could not get it to stay alive. The old machine was retired and usable parts have been stripped from the old case. Over the last year I've been slowly buying parts for my new machine so I can build it myself.
